30 Years of Experience

My career started out hot as a “man on the street” reporter in print journalism. It was during my decade of journalism that I learned how community systems work and how to ask the right questions to get the most honest, heartfelt answers. Years later, I learned that 4 of my 5 top Clifton Strengths line up in the Strategic Theme.

• I am deeply curious and am not afraid to ask the hard questions. I collect a variety of information for future use, which has helped me thrive in many sectors of business and community.
• I love the mental hum of mental thinking and appreciate deep, rich conversation, which is what I strive for in coaching sessions and strategic planning or team reteats.
• I spot patterns and easy solutions forward where others see complications and barriers. 
• I see possibility and inspire others to craft a vision of the future that inspires them as well.

My work in journalism, government and public policy, nonprofit and years as a business owner and my research in leadership and courage has given me a vast understanding of the struggles people of all walks of life endure allowing me to ask nuanced questions few others would even consider asking.
